What we found
Playable and charming: the Play gate deferred third-party loading, the title board opened straight into a three-step drag tutorial with no ad interruption, and real drags moved all three animal blocks on desktop and on the native portrait mobile layout. Sign, Level, and Lottery buttons are present alongside the currencies. No bugs or broken interactions observed.
Mobile: Tested at phone size: portrait is clearly the native orientation - the whole title board, Sign/Level/Lottery buttons, and Start button fit on screen and a drag moved the dog on the first try. Landscape 844x390 letterboxes the portrait game small in the middle of the frame, so portrait (or fullscreen) is the way to play.
Ads and interruptions: No advertisement was observed in this session: the title board loaded straight after the portal Play gate with no preroll and no interstitial during the tutorial. Two 'Powered by GameMonetize' links sit under the frame on the portal page. The Snacko page itself shows no ads.
Tips from our playtest
- Blocks only slide along their open axis - watch which side of a block is clear before you commit to a direction.
- The tutorial hand walks you through all three animals in order; following it exactly is the fastest way to learn the drag feel.
- Coins and lightning bolts sit in the top bar with plus buttons - the lightning count (five at first load) is the hint/boost currency, so don't spend it on the opening board.
- The >> marker on the board edge is the exit the target animal has to reach.
- On phones this one is genuinely one-handed: portrait shows the full board without scrolling.
Questions about this game
- Is Animal Klotski free?
- Yes. It runs free in the browser on Snacko Games; no ad played during our session, and the provider branding stays outside the board.
- Is it really a Klotski puzzle?
- Yes - a crowded board of animal blocks that slide along open axes, with a marked exit (>>) the target animal must reach.
- Does it work on a phone?
- Yes, and portrait is the native orientation: the full board fits the screen and drags register immediately.
- What are the coins and lightning bolts for?
- They are the in-game currencies shown in the top bar with plus buttons; the lightning count acts as the boost/hint currency. We did not spend any during the tutorial.
